Position Overview The Office Clerk is responsible for handling routine administrative and clerical tasks to ensure smooth office operations and provide essential support to various departments. The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in basic office software. Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming and outgoing documents, mail, and office correspondence; Maintain organized filing systems (both physical and digital); Assist in preparing meeting agendas, taking minutes, and follow-up actions; Support translation and communication between Chinese staff and local teams(basic English–Swahili/Chinese interpretation helpful but not required); Manage office supplies inventory and coordinate minor logistical tasks; Assist HR and finance departments with data entry, attendance records, and simple report preparation; Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or certificate in Secretarial Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; Minimum 1 year of office/administrative experience (fresh graduates with strong potential may be considered); Proficient in Swahili and English (spoken and written); Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and email usage; Honest, reliable, and able to maintain confidentiality; Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a diverse team.
