Barrick Africa Middle East is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to join our team at the Dar es Salaam operation. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for maintaining critical equipment and systems to support our mining operations while upholding our commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings, using required PPE, reporting incidents and accidents, and maintaining full adherence to all Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policies
• Follow all maintenance procedures and ensure mechanical activities are completed to standard without causing further damage to components, systems, or equipment
• Ensure proper equipment isolation, adhere to working at height and confined space standards and procedures, and conduct pre-start checks and inspections
• Carry out mechanical repair and preventative maintenance to keep equipment in safe and efficient working condition
• Perform troubleshooting, fault-finding, and corrective maintenance to resolve unplanned equipment issues and maintain production and availability targets
