Housekeeper

Job Overview

Elephant Lodge is seeking a dedicated and hardworking Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our guest rooms and public areas. Your attention to detail will ensure that every corner of the lodge reflects our commitment to comfort and luxury.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to lodge standards, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, ensuring all fixtures are spotless
• Maintain the cleanliness of corridors, lounges, and other public areas
• Handle and track linen, ensuring par levels are maintained
• Report any lost and found items immediately to the supervisor
• Respond politely to guest requests and report any maintenance issues to the maintenance team

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or lodge is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
• Strong attention to detail and a pride in workmanship
• Physically fit, as the role involves standing, bending, and lifting
• Reliable, punctual, and honest
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be eligible to work in Tanzania
