Electrical Designer – MEP

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Designer to handle electrical system design for our growing organization. This is a full-time position based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical load calculations and demand schedules
• Design power distribution systems (MDB, SMDB, DB layouts)
• Prepare lighting design and lux calculations
• Design cable routing, containment systems, and earthing layouts
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD) and panel schedules
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Architectural, and Structural teams
• Support technical submittals and consultant approvals

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• 4–6 years of experience in electrical design
• Strong knowledge of IEC standards
• Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or high-rise projects
• Strong analytical and coordination skills

Required Software Skills

• AutoCAD
• Revit MEP
• Microsoft Office
• Dialux / Dialux Evo (for lighting calculations) – advantageous
• ETAP or equivalent – advantageous
• Navisworks – advantageous
