Driver II

About the Role

Join Watumishi Housing Investments (WHI), a growing organization that values talent and commitment. We are seeking a Driver II to support our operations in Dar es Salaam.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle safely while adhering to traffic laws and prioritizing the safety of passengers, other road users, and the vehicle
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness on a regular basis
• Fill in logbook regularly for effective control and monitoring of vehicle running costs
• Conduct regular inspections of the motor vehicle and promptly report any noted faults
• Ensure that valid documents and permits are acquired prior to commencing any journey
• Verify that motor vehicles and their accessories are in good condition and initiate routine vehicle maintenance and repairs with approved service agents
• Maintain disciplined behavior, smartness, and proper conduct in rendering services
• Perform messenger duties such as dispatching documents and letters, and collecting mail for the company
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications and Requirements

• Form IV Secondary Education Certificate
• Valid Driving License Class C with Basic Driving course completion
• Clean driving experience of at least three (3) years without accidents
• Trade Test Grade III/NVA I in Motor Vehicle Maintenance/Mechanics (added advantage)
