Job Overview
As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere at Elephant Lodge. We are looking for a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to manage the check-in/check-out process, handle reservations, and provide information about the lodge and surrounding attractions.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with the check-in process
- Efficiently process guest check-ins and check-outs, handling payments and billing accurately
- Manage booking inquiries over the phone, via email, and in person
- Provide information about lodge facilities, local attractions (including Lake Babati), and safari activities
- Act as a central communication hub, relaying messages to guests and staff promptly
- Maintain accurate guest records, handle mail and messages, and assist with basic administrative tasks
Qualifications & Requirements
- Proven experience as a receptionist, front desk agent, or similar role in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in using reservation systems (e.g., PMS) and MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- A positive attitude and a passion for helping people
- Fluency in English and Swahili required
- Must be eligible to work in Tanzania
