Job Summary

The Operations Officer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the day-to-day operational activities related to import, export, and transit shipments. You will ensure smooth execution of logistics operations, compliance with Tanzanian customs regulations, and efficient coordination between clients, customs authorities, shipping lines, and port facilities. You will monitor shipments, coordinate clearance processes, and ensure all operational activities are completed efficiently and within required timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Coordination

• Coordinate and supervise daily operational activities related to cargo clearance and logistics services
• Ensure all shipments are processed efficiently from arrival to final delivery
• Coordinate with clearing staff, truck drivers, warehouse operators, and port personnel
• Ensure proper scheduling of cargo handling, transportation, and delivery

Shipment Monitoring and Tracking

• Monitor and track all import, export, and transit shipments
• Ensure timely cargo clearance and release from port terminals and warehouses
