Job Purpose
The successful candidate will manage and maintain the Kilombero Inventory Master Data in accordance with department strategy and policies. You will manage the creation and codification of new Master Data according to market-related standards and templates, and drive the use of Master Data for purchasing to support Group Procurement and Reliability strategy.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain Master Data on an ongoing basis to support the Purchasing and Inventory Function in accordance with the Division Procurement Strategy and deliver service to end users, ensuring no duplicates and no remapped MIDs exist in an active state for more than 2 weeks
- Support and provide input to the maintenance of standardized and structured naming conventions for Master Data that conform to industry best practices and market-related standards, requiring engagement with subject matter experts and extensive commodity-based research
- Manage the creation of new MIDs and requests for corrections and enrichment to existing MIDs (within agreed service level agreements) from Category Leads and/or Operations to the Division Catalogue in accordance with agreed structured formats for naming
- Apply technical understanding and application of classifications, grouping, and materials technical data within the Division Catalogue
- Manage and correct Master Data related parameters
- Enhance Master Data clarity and integrity through effective and efficient service delivery and resolution of issues affecting realization
