Business Development Officer

About the Role

Reporting to the Zonal Manager, the Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new business relationships for Tanzania Agricultural Development Bank Limited (TADB) within the zone. This position offers a great opportunity for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve new business annual disbursement targets in line with approved annual budget priorities
• Generate regular market appraisal standards of bankable credit proposals
• Maintain portfolio quality within the bank's approved NPL threshold
• Ensure timely credit submissions are complete, accurate, and properly assigned
• Conduct structured market and sector analysis
• Build and formalize relationships with credit and monitoring business leads
• Contribute to the preparation and execution of zonal business plan and budget
• Submit regular progress and performance-aligned reports
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Required Qualifications and Experience

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounts, Banking, Business Administration, or related discipline
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in relevant areas where the bank can be more effective
• Ability to evaluate credit proposals
• Experience in interpreting financial statements
• Demonstrated sales opportunities in relevant areas
