Bartender / Waitstaff

Job Overview

We are looking for a charismatic and skilled Bartender/Waitstaff to join our F&B team at Elephant Lodge. This dual role requires a person who can mix exceptional cocktails while also providing attentive table service. You will be key in creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere in our bar and dining areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages consistently and to a high standard
• Maintain a well-stocked and clean bar area
• Demonstrate knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails and make recommendations to guests
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and serve meals
• Ensure guests have a pleasant dining experience through attentive and professional service
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, remembering regulars and their preferences
• Process payments and operate the POS system correctly
• Adhere to all hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring the bar and dining areas are clean and tidy

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proven experience as a Bartender and/or Waiter in a restaurant, bar, or lodge
• Knowledge of cocktail recipes, spirits, wines, and responsible service of alcohol
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Well-groomed with a friendly and approachable personality
• Fluency in English and Swahili
• Eligible to work in Tanzania
