Assistant Lecturer (Data Science)

Position Overview

Moshi Cooperative University seeks a dedicated Assistant Lecturer to join its academic team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. This is a full-time position in the Education, Science & Engineering, and Computer & IT department.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out lectures, conduct tutorials, seminars, and practical training for undergraduate programs
• Conduct research and publish/disseminate research results
• Identify and support students experiencing academic difficulties through targeted intervention and assistance
• Participate in consultancies and community services under supervision
• Attend workshops, conferences, and symposia to maintain professional development
• Perform any other duties as assigned by relevant authorities

Qualifications

Master's Degree

Master's degree in one of the following fields with a minimum GPA of 4.0 out of 5.0:

• Data Science
• Machine Learning
• Big Data Analytics
• Artificial Intelligence
• Computer Science
• Information Systems
• Computer Engineering
• Information Communication Science and Engineering
• Information Technology

Bachelor's Degree

Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields with a minimum GPA of 3.8 out of 5.0 from a recognized university:
