Le salaire minimum au Rwanda varie selon le secteur d'activité. En 2024, le salaire minimum national est d'environ 50 000 à 62 500 FRW par mois (environ 45-55 USD) selon le domaine. Les secteurs comme l'agriculture et le service domestique ont des taux différents des secteurs formels.
En vertu du Code du Travail rwandais, un licenciement doit être justifié par une cause réelle et sérieuse. L'employeur doit donner un préavis (généralement 30 jours) et verser une indemnité de licenciement basée sur l'ancienneté. Les licenciements abusifs peuvent donner droit à des dommages-intérêts.
Le droit rwandais garantit un minimum de 15 jours de congés payés par an pour un salarié temps plein. Des jours supplémentaires peuvent être accordés selon la convention collective et l'ancienneté. Les congés de maladie et maternité sont régis par des dispositions spécifiques.
