Key Responsibilities

• Greet and escort customers to their tables
• Present menu and provide detailed information about portions, ingredients, and potential food allergies when asked
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, serviette stands, ware, cutlery, and glasses
• Inform customers about daily specials and offer menu recommendations
• Up-sell additional products when appropriate
• Take accurate food and drink orders using POS ordering software, order slips, or memorization
• Communicate order details to kitchen staff
• Serve food and drink orders
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues
• Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
• Deliver bills and collect payments
• Clear dirty plates, glasses, and trays to the kitchen for cleaning
• Meet with supervisors or superiors to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications for reservations
• Follow all relevant health department regulations
• Provide excellent customer service to guests

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress
• Hands-on experience with cash register and ordering information systems (e.g., IPMS)
• Basic math skills
• Attentiveness and patience with customers
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Active listening and effective communication skills
• Team spirit and collaborative approach
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• High school diploma (food safety training is a plus)
