An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview:
  • A Hotel Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals for hotel guests while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, fish, and spices
  • Cook meals according to hotel recipes and standards
  • Ensure food is properly portioned and presented
  • Prepare local and continental dishes as required
  • Assist in daily menu planning with the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
  • Ensure consistency in taste and presentation
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking areas
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Store food items properly to avoid spoilage
  • Monitor food supplies and inform supervisor when items are low
  • Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients before use
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, and mixers safely
  • Report faulty kitchen equipment to maintenance
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Support during busy periods such as events and peak hours
  • Ensure meals are prepared on time and meet quality standards
  • Adjust meals based on special guest requests (e.g., low salt, allergies – as directed).
