An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview: - A Hotel Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals for hotel guests while maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and kitchen safety. Main Duties & Responsibilities - Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, meat, fish, and spices - Cook meals according to hotel recipes and standards - Ensure food is properly portioned and presented - Prepare local and continental dishes as required - Assist in daily menu planning with the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor - Ensure consistency in taste and presentation - Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and cooking areas - Follow food safety and hygiene regulations - Store food items properly to avoid spoilage - Monitor food supplies and inform supervisor when items are low - Minimize food waste through proper handling and storage - Check quality and freshness of ingredients before use - Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, and mixers safely - Report faulty kitchen equipment to maintenance - Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service - Support during busy periods such as events and peak hours - Ensure meals are prepared on time and meet quality standards - Adjust meals based on special guest requests (e.g., low salt, allergies – as directed). Physical Requirements - Ability to stand for long hours - Able to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment - Attention to detail - Good time management - Creativity in food presentation - Ability to work under pressure - Team spirit - Clean and neat appearance.
