Job Purpose
- To lead and manage the organization’s corporate communications, public relations, brand positioning, media engagement, and stakeholder communication strategies in order to enhance institutional reputation, visibility, and influence.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate communication strategy aligned with the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Oversee brand management and ensure consistency in messaging across all communication channels.
- Safeguard and strengthen the organization’s corporate identity and public image.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses and journalists.
- Coordinate press briefings, media interviews, and public statements.
- Draft and approve press releases, speeches, opinion articles, and official communications.
- Monitor media coverage and manage reputational risks.
- Develop communication frameworks for engaging members, partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely dissemination of policy positions, advocacy updates, and organizational announcements.
- Oversee production of newsletters, annual reports, policy briefs, and publications.
- Lead digital communication strategy including website, email communications, and social media platforms.
- Ensure regular updates and content management across digital platforms.
- Monitor online engagement analytics and adjust strategy accordingly.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans.
- Serve as communication lead during sensitive or high-risk situations.
- Advise management on reputational risk mitigation strategies.
- Oversee communication aspects of conferences, stakeholder forums, advocacy events, and public engagements.
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging at corporate events.
- Support executive leadership with speaking notes, presentations, and communication materials.
- Provide leadership and supervision to the Corporate Affairs & Communications team.
- Develop departmental work plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Monitor team performance and ensure continuous professional development.
- Media visibility and sentiment analysis.
- Growth in digital engagement metrics.
