Graphics Playout Officer at News Central TV

About the Role

News Central TV seeks a dedicated Graphics Playout Officer to ensure the seamless delivery of broadcast graphics in a fast-paced, live television environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage smooth playout of lower third and full frame graphics using the Vizrt Trio System
• Design urgent and breaking news graphics as needed
• Assemble character generators (CGs) in the correct sequence on the Trio system
• Identify and flag spelling errors on CGs and full frame graphics to directors and producers
• Communicate effectively with directors, producers, and graphic designers
• Report equipment or software faults to the engineering department

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as media production, broadcasting, or graphic design
• Proven experience in graphics playout or a related role in a broadcast or media production environment
• Proficiency with graphics playout software and tools including Vizrt, Ross Xpression, Adobe After Effects, or similar applications

Required Skills

• Strong technical skills with understanding of video formats, codecs, and file transcoding processes
• Problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure in a live broadcast environment
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
