Factory Operations Manager

Job Purpose

Oversee all factory operations and ensure optimal utilization of resources (labor, raw materials, production materials, utilities, etc.) so that the factory consistently operates at 95% capacity while meeting quality, safety, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily factory operations to achieve production targets
• Ensure all factors of production are available and efficiently utilized
• Monitor and maintain 95% operating capacity

Resource Planning

• Coordinate procurement and availability of raw materials, consumables, and utilities
• Manage workforce scheduling and allocation

Process Optimization

• Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, and throughput

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance

Team Leadership

• Supervise and develop production supervisors and factory staff
• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement

Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
• Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions

Performance Metrics

• Factory operating capacity ≥ 95%
• Reduction in downtime and waste
• On-time delivery of production targets
• Compliance with safety and quality standards

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in factory or plant operations (preferably in manufacturing)
• Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and maintenance
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles
