## Title: Factory Operations Manager
Job Purpose
Oversee all factory operations and ensure optimal utilization of resources (labor, raw materials, production materials, utilities, etc.) so that the factory consistently operates at 95% capacity while meeting quality, safety, and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise daily factory operations to achieve production targets
- Ensure all factors of production are available and efficiently utilized
- Monitor and maintain 95% operating capacity
Resource Planning
- Coordinate procurement and availability of raw materials, consumables, and utilities
- Manage workforce scheduling and allocation
Process Optimization
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency
- Monitor KPIs such as OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, and throughput
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Maintain health, safety, and environmental compliance
Team Leadership
- Supervise and develop production supervisors and factory staff
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
- Analyze variances and recommend corrective actions
Performance Metrics
- Factory operating capacity ≥ 95%
- Reduction in downtime and waste
- On-time delivery of production targets
- Compliance with safety and quality standards
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in factory or plant operations (preferably in manufacturing)
- Strong knowledge of production planning, inventory control, and maintenance
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems and lean manufacturing principles
