Child Case Worker at Ekklesiyar Yan'uwa a Nigeria (EYN PROJECT)

About the Role

We are seeking a Child Case Worker to join our expanding team. You will provide direct support and services to children and their families to ensure their safety, well-being, and development. This role involves assessing the needs of children, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and coordinating with various service providers to deliver comprehensive support.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide individually tailored comprehensive Child Protection Case Management Services to Unaccompanied, Separated, and Other Vulnerable Children in line with Case Management Standard Operating Procedures
• Receive and provide referral services for specialized case management services
• Ensure the confidentiality of information collected during case management services and input information into CPIMS+
• Establish a harmonious working environment with a wide range of stakeholders including children, beneficiaries, service providers, community leaders, religious leaders, and local government authorities
• Undertake home visits to families of children receiving case management services
• Respect confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines and standards
• Prepare and share monitoring reports and updates with line manager
• Participate in case conferences for the management of complex cases
• Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ensure actions do not put children at risk

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with children and families
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively
• Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite
