## Title: Biomedical Engineer

About This Opportunity

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth in biomedical equipment management and calibration services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, calibration, servicing, repair and maintenance of a wide range of laboratory and biomedical equipment including pipettes, centrifuges, incubators, refrigerators, freezers, autoclaves, water distillers, weighing balances, thermomixers, vortex mixers, and slide warmers
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for processes
  • Prepare and issue calibration certificates in compliance with ISO 17025 standards
  • Meticulously document all service activities, equipment functionality status, and maintenance reports for client records
  • Implement and manage a system to schedule and track all future technical services
  • Train end users on the safe, correct, and efficient operation of biomedical equipment
  • Instruct end users on routine preventative maintenance procedures to enhance equipment longevity and reliability
  • Manage the logistics of spare parts, including inventory tracking for all incoming and outgoing components
  • Ensure all parts meet industry standards and are delivered in perfect condition

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Science (with demonstrable engineering skills), or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in calibrating and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience applying ISO 17025 standards
  • Availability to travel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
