About the Role

News Central TV is seeking a qualified Associate Producer to join our dynamic news production team. In this role, you will support the Executive Producer in delivering high-quality live television content while managing multiple production responsibilities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

• Report to the Executive Producer and execute daily production tasks
• Write scripts for broadcasts that are informative, conversational, and engaging
• Prepare and organize show rundowns for broadcast
• Write and post daily content across social media platforms
• Prepare guests for live segments and manage guest coordination
• Time show segments to ensure guests can deliver their messages effectively
• Work closely with clients to enhance the quality of their segments
• Assist with line producing, on-location shoots, and editing as needed
• Book visually engaging segments for the show
• Collaborate with show producers to write voice-overs, manage live shots, handle guest segments, and write compelling teases
• Create production elements including graphics and tape for scripts
• Identify news stories, select video and sound bites, oversee editing, conduct interviews, and write stories for television and online platforms
• Contribute new creative ideas to enhance the show

Work Arrangement

This position offers remote flexibility with the requirement to be available for immediate station visits when needed. Standard hours are weekdays 6:30 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional extended hours. Availability for weekend station events is required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field
• 1–3 years of experience producing live television
• Proficiency in stacking rundowns for broadcast
• Strong creative writing skills with ability to write for television audiences
• Demonstrated social media expertise with active presence on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
