An established company is recruiting for the following position.
  • We are seeking an experienced Agronomist/ Greenhouse Farmer with a strong background in greenhouse farming, specifically bell pepper production, to join our team. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, results-driven, and willing to relocate to Abba, Abia State.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day greenhouse crop production, with a focus on bell pepper farming.
  • Implement best practices for planting, irrigation, fertigation, pruning, staking, and harvesting
  • Monitor crop health, pests, and diseases, and apply appropriate control measures
  • Manage fertilizer programs and ensure optimal yields and quality
  • Train and supervise farm staff on greenhouse operations
  • Maintain production records and provide regular farm performance reports
  • Ensure compliance with standard agronomic and safety practices
Requirements:
  • Degree or certification in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field
  • Proven experience in greenhouse farming, especially bell pepper cultivation
  • Practical knowledge of irrigation systems, fertigation, pest and disease management
  • Ability to work independently and manage on-site farm operations
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to relocate to Abba, Abia State
