Agronomist (Greenhouse Farming)

An established company is recruiting for the following position. - We are seeking an experienced Agronomist/ Greenhouse Farmer with a strong background in greenhouse farming, specifically bell pepper production, to join our team. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, results-driven, and willing to relocate to Abba, Abia State. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee day-to-day greenhouse crop production, with a focus on bell pepper farming. - Implement best practices for planting, irrigation, fertigation, pruning, staking, and harvesting - Monitor crop health, pests, and diseases, and apply appropriate control measures - Manage fertilizer programs and ensure optimal yields and quality - Train and supervise farm staff on greenhouse operations - Maintain production records and provide regular farm performance reports - Ensure compliance with standard agronomic and safety practices Requirements: - Degree or certification in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field - Proven experience in greenhouse farming, especially bell pepper cultivation - Practical knowledge of irrigation systems, fertigation, pest and disease management - Ability to work independently and manage on-site farm operations - Strong problem-solving and communication skills - Willingness to relocate to Abba, Abia State
