About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as a Solar Technician.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, and commission solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, and charge controllers
• Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on installed solar systems
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults related to system performance, wiring, or equipment
• Perform site evaluations and load assessments to determine system requirements
• Ensure all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and relevant electrical codes
• Keep accurate records of system installations, inspections, and repairs
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding system operation and maintenance
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely project completion
• Maintain tools, equipment, and safety gear in good working condition

Requirements

• OND / HND qualification or B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
• 3 – 5 years of proven experience in solar system installation and maintenance
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and solar energy principles
• Experience with hybrid and off-grid solar systems is an added advantage
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and installation manuals
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
