## Title: Solar Technician
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as a Solar Technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, and commission solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, batteries, and charge controllers
- Conduct regular preventive and corrective maintenance on installed solar systems
- Diagnose and resolve technical faults related to system performance, wiring, or equipment
- Perform site evaluations and load assessments to determine system requirements
- Ensure all installations meet company standards, manufacturer specifications, and relevant electrical codes
- Keep accurate records of system installations, inspections, and repairs
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding system operation and maintenance
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure timely project completion
- Maintain tools, equipment, and safety gear in good working condition
Requirements
- OND / HND qualification or B.Sc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
- 3 – 5 years of proven experience in solar system installation and maintenance
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and solar energy principles
- Experience with hybrid and off-grid solar systems is an added advantage
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and installation manuals
- Knowledge of safety standards and compliance requirements
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
