## Title: Social Media Specialist

About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Bedmate Furniture as a Social Media Specialist in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business goals
  • Manage and oversee daily activity across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest)
  • Create and curate engaging, high-quality content (text, image, video, and stories) in collaboration with the design and content teams
  • Plan and manage social media campaigns, including paid advertising
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversion rates, etc.) using analytics tools
  • Stay current on social media trends, algorithm changes, and best practices to optimize performance
  • Engage with the online community by responding to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with marketing, PR, and customer service teams to maintain brand consistency and support business initiatives
  • Manage partnerships with influencers, creators, and external agencies when applicable
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar and ensure timely publication of posts

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
  • 3 - 5 years of proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, Later)

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in content creation and basic graphic design/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, CapCut)
  • Excellent copywriting, communication, and storytelling skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creative thinking with a passion for staying ahead of digital trends
