Social Media Marketing Specialist

About the Role

Newedge Finance Limited is seeking a Social Media Community Manager to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will independently manage and grow our local-language communities across WhatsApp and Facebook, driving engagement, user satisfaction, and business growth.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of local-language WhatsApp and Facebook communities, including content publishing, user interactions, and relationship management
• Foster a positive and active community atmosphere while maintaining user engagement
• Create culturally relevant promotional content, posters, banners, and event graphics using design tools such as Canva and Photoshop based on marketing campaign plans
• Respond promptly and professionally to user inquiries regarding products, application processes, and promotional activities
• Identify user needs and guide potential customers to the sales team to support conversion efforts
• Establish and enforce community guidelines, managing inappropriate behavior through warnings, muting, and other moderation measures
• Support offline marketing events through pre-event promotions and awareness-building within the community
• Conduct post-event follow-up with users and collect feedback for continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in social media community management or related field
• Strong familiarity with social media community processes and best practices
• Proficiency in WhatsApp and Facebook algorithms and promotional tools (such as Meta Ads Manager)
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging community content

Bonus Skills

• Video editing experience (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro)
• Experience with influencer collaborations
• TikTok Ads platform knowledge
