Senior Quantity Surveyor at Java Design Concepts Ltd

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents
• Manage and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and value for money
• Oversee contract negotiations, valuations, and payments
• Provide detailed financial advice and cost control throughout the project lifecycle
• Conduct risk analysis and advise on procurement strategies
• Mentor and supervise junior quantity surveyors and project staff
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, codes, and standards

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum of 15 years' professional experience with at least 5 years in a senior role
• Membership or Chartered status with NIQS, QSRBN, and any other equivalent professional body
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts (FIDIC, JCT, etc.)

Required Skills

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in QS software and MS Office suite
