## Title: Senior Field Service Engineer

Role Summary

The Senior Field Service Engineer (FSE) supervises the maintenance, service repairs, and installation of engineering equipment products, providing advanced technical support and expertise to field teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise maintenance, service repairs, and installation of engineering equipment products
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting expertise to teams
  • Resolve complex issues by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions
  • Lead or participate in escalated support cases, ensuring timely resolution
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate network performance and equipment condition
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Configure and optimize systems for optimal performance
  • Develop and implement maintenance and repair strategies
  • Analyze network issues and contribute to network improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Projects, BBS, Metro, Commercial, Engineering) to improve network performance and customer satisfaction
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices
  • Develop and deliver technical training and knowledge sharing sessions
  • Provide technical documentation and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • B.Eng or HND

Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in optical fiber deployment and installation (aerial and terrestrial)
  • Proficiency with fiber optics tools: OTDR, splicing machine, LSPM, VFL, fiber scope, and related equipment
  • Efficient use of KMZ
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Good knowledge of network performance and configuration parameters, including interpretation and application
  • Good knowledge of network operation processes and interfaces
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Result-oriented approach with ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • People-oriented leadership with ability to motivate team members
  • Open-minded approach to problem-solving and handling new challenges
  • Dynamic and creative thinking with ability to assimilate information quickly and act decisively
