Job Summary

The role holder has operational responsibility for power and passive infrastructure within MTN's datacentre, switch centre, and cell site domains. This position includes management responsibilities for operations and planning of the network power and passive environment, as well as governance oversight of all third-party providers delivering network power and passive services to MTN. The role is responsible for preparing and managing all power and passive-related investments and operating costs to ensure optimal service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Management – MTN Network Power and Infrastructure

• Oversee day-to-day operations of power systems, cooling systems, energy distribution systems, and maintenance activities
• Implement strategies to optimize power efficiency and reliability while minimizing costs
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for power and cooling system operations
• Ensure that power capacity introduced into the network complies with allowable standards
