Senior Accountant - Mikano, Lagos

POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Accountant is responsible for supervising the general day-to-day operations of the accounting department and ensure accurate recording as per generally accepted accounting bodies and company policy, as well as implementing efficient internal controls TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in various monthly financial reports.

• Oversee accounting daily operations.

• Preparing receivables reports for sales and aftersales departments.

• Monitor the closing of pending job cards and waybills.

• Verifying supporting documents for bank payments.

• Monitoring and auditing daily cash expenditures.

• Authorizing receipt vouchers, debit and credit notes, bank payments and general accounting entries.

• Assisting, preparing, and monitoring monthly budget.

• Participate in audit and reconciliations when necessary.

• Monitor and evaluate subordinates' performance, Training of new employees, Effective Team Leading.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ICAN certification is a plus).

• 6+ years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
