Self-loader Driver - Roadlamp Limited, Lagos

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview:

• The Self Loader Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a self-loading truck, to load, transport, and offload heavy materials, equipment, and machinery.

• The role requires adherence to safety regulations, proper equipment handling, and timely delivery to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate self-loader truck (HIAB) to lift, load, transport, and offload materials safely

• Conduct daily vehicle and crane inspections before and after operations

• Secure loads properly to prevent damage or accidents during transit

• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, company policies, and HSE standards

• Coordinate with site supervisors during lifting operations

• Maintain accurate delivery logs and job documentation

• Report mechanical faults, safety concerns, or incidents promptly

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep the truck clean and serviceable

• Follow lifting plans and ensure safe working load limits are not exceeded.

Requirements: & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for heavy-duty vehicles

• Certification or training in self-loader/lorry crane operations (where applicable)

• Minimum of 5 years relevant driving self-loader and operation experience

• Good knowledge of road safety regulations and lifting procedures

• Ability to read and understand lifting plans and safety instructions

• Physically fit and safety-conscious

• Good communication and teamwork skills.
