We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates.- The role ensures timely procurement at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure stationaries, raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and other production-related items in line with approved specifications.
- Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and vendor contracts.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain and analyze quotations to ensure cost-effectiveness and value for money.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, warehouse, and stores to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to support uninterrupted production schedules.
- Track and follow up on outstanding purchase orders and resolve supply issues.
- Ensure all procured items meet required quality and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, and reports.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Support periodic supplier performance evaluations and audits.
- Liaise with Finance to ensure proper invoice verification and payment processing.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Professional certification (e.g., CIPS, CIPSMN) is an added advantage.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing materials and supply chain processes.
- Excellent analytical and cost-control skills.
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/procurement systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
