• Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in Mass Communication or related area of specialization
• Minimum of nine (9) years of teaching experience at university level

• Minimum of fifteen (15) publications
• Minimum of five (5) papers indexed in Scopus
• Minimum of five (5) points in Academic Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities
• Minimum of three (3) points in Community Service
• Minimum of forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal
• Two (2) Favourable External Assessments

Professional Requirements

• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Visibility on Google Scholar with minimum citation count of thirty (30)
