## Title: Professor of Mass Communication
Position Overview

Key Requirements
- Ph.D. Degree or equivalent in Mass Communication or related area of specialization
- Minimum of nine (9) years of teaching experience at university level
- Minimum of five (5) points from postgraduate students supervised
- Considerable research background with minimum of seventy-five (75) points from admissible publications
- Minimum of fifteen (15) publications
- Minimum of five (5) papers indexed in Scopus
- Minimum of five (5) points in Academic Leadership and Administrative Responsibilities
- Minimum of three (3) points in Community Service
- Minimum of forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal
- Two (2) Favourable External Assessments
Professional Requirements
- Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
- Visibility on Google Scholar with minimum citation count of thirty (30)
