Position Summary
The Pressing & Wrapping Operator will be responsible for operating and monitoring cube pressing and wrapping machines to ensure efficient production of seasoning cubes that meet set quality, weight, and hygiene standards. The role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor cube pressing machines to compress blended seasoning powder into uniform cubes
- Operate wrapping and sealing machines to ensure each cube is properly wrapped and sealed according to specifications
- Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain smooth operations
- Inspect finished cubes for shape, weight, texture, and wrapping quality
- Ensure wrapping films or foils are correctly loaded, aligned, and tensioned on machines
- Maintain accurate production records, including output, rejects, and machine downtime
- Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment before and after production runs
- Report equipment faults, material shortages, or process deviations to the Production Supervisor
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce waste and enhance production efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum SSCE, OND, or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Food Technology
- Minimum of 1 year working experience operating pressing, wrapping, or packaging machines, preferably in a food or seasoning cube production environment
- Good understanding of machine operation principles and basic troubleshooting
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Physically fit and able to perform operational duties
Compensation & Location
Salary Range: ₦100,000 – ₦150,000 per month
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Expected Resumption: First Week of November 2025
