As Magazine Editor, you will oversee the editorial direction of our flagship magazine, including developing content strategies, managing writers and designers, and ensuring timely publication. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement content strategies for our flagship magazine
• Manage a team of writers, designers, and other editorial staff
• Oversee the editorial process, including writing, editing, and proofreading
• Collaborate with designers and artists to develop visually stunning layouts and illustrations
• Develop engaging headlines and ensure all content adheres to the magazine's tone and style
• Work with marketing and sales teams to enhance audience engagement and readership growth
• Ensure timely publication of the magazine, meeting deadlines and budget requirements
• Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends to enhance the magazine's relevance
• Drive sponsorship, advertising, and promotions for the magazine
• Develop realistic strategies for online and offline sales of published magazine editions
• Network actively at industry events
• Submit weekly reports of all activities and deliverables
• Ensure proposed financial KPIs for magazine publications are met
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in magazine editing, publishing, or related field
• Strong understanding of editorial principles, including content strategy, writing, and design
• Excellent leadership and management skills, with ability to motivate and direct a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Proximity to Surulere, Lagos
