This is a full-time on-site role located in Ibadan for a Literature in English Teacher. The teacher will be responsible for preparing and delivering comprehensive lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum.

Daily responsibilities include teaching English literature concepts, assessing students’ progress, fostering analytical and critical thinking, and creating an engaging classroom environment to inspire a passion for literature.

Collaboration with colleagues and clear communication with parents regarding student performance and objectives are key aspects of this role.

Required Qualifications:

Proven skills in English Teaching, with the ability to engage students in learning complex literary works and concepts

Experience in Lesson Planning and delivering structured lessons tailored to curriculum objectives

Background in Education and Teaching, with a strong foundation in pedagogy and classroom management

Effective Communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff professionally and clearly

A Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related fields (additional certifications in teaching are an advantage)

Passion for literature and a commitment to fostering lifelong learning in students

Previous experience teaching Literature in English is preferred but not mandatory
