Literature in English Teacher

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Role Description - This is a full-time on-site role located in Ibadan for a Literature in English Teacher. The teacher will be responsible for preparing and delivering comprehensive lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum. - Daily responsibilities include teaching English literature concepts, assessing students’ progress, fostering analytical and critical thinking, and creating an engaging classroom environment to inspire a passion for literature. - Collaboration with colleagues and clear communication with parents regarding student performance and objectives are key aspects of this role. Required Qualifications: - Proven skills in English Teaching, with the ability to engage students in learning complex literary works and concepts - Experience in Lesson Planning and delivering structured lessons tailored to curriculum objectives - Background in Education and Teaching, with a strong foundation in pedagogy and classroom management - Effective Communication skills to interact with students, parents, and staff professionally and clearly - A Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related fields (additional certifications in teaching are an advantage) - Passion for literature and a commitment to fostering lifelong learning in students - Previous experience teaching Literature in English is preferred but not mandatory
