An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview: OF THE ROLE
  • The kitchen Assistant works closely with the Sous Chef, Pastry Chef and Head Chef to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Properly cleaning and sanitising all food preparation areas according to established standards of hygiene
  • Assisting with the unloading of delivered food supplies
  • Organising and correctly storing food supplies
  • Promptly transferring meal ingredients from storage areas to the kitchen as per the Head Chef’s instructions
  • Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored properly
  • Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuff and helping to prepare salads and desserts
  • Disposing of rubbish
  • Organising linen laundry
  • Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and kitchen tools or areas
  • Prompt serving of meals
Required Qualifications: & EXPERIENCE
  • OND qualification from a reputable polytechnic or SSCE (Senior Secondary School Certificate)/NCE
  • 2+ years’ experience in food prep
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
