Internal Auditor - Don Quester Consulting, Lagos

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Internal Auditor to design, implement, and monitor internal control systems for a new Supermarket and Bakery business. The role requires hands-on experience in audits, risk management, and operational controls. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement internal control and audit frameworks

• Conduct regular audits of sales, inventory, procurement, and cash handling

• Review compliance with operational and financial procedures

• Identify control gaps, risks, and fraud exposures

• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations

• Monitor implementation of corrective actions

• Support management in strengthening governance and risk controls

Education: & Experience Requirements

• Minimum of HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 3–5 years relevant experience in internal audit, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG, or hospitality

• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIA) is a strong advantage

• Strong knowledge of audit standards, controls, and risk management

• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills

• High level of independence and professional judgment
