Internal Auditor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Internal Auditor to design, implement, and monitor internal control systems for a new Supermarket and Bakery business. The role requires hands-on experience in audits, risk management, and operational controls. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement internal control and audit frameworks - Conduct regular audits of sales, inventory, procurement, and cash handling - Review compliance with operational and financial procedures - Identify control gaps, risks, and fraud exposures - Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable recommendations - Monitor implementation of corrective actions - Support management in strengthening governance and risk controls Education: & Experience Requirements - Minimum of HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field - 3–5 years relevant experience in internal audit, preferably in retail, supermarket, FMCG, or hospitality - Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, CIA) is a strong advantage - Strong knowledge of audit standards, controls, and risk management - Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills - High level of independence and professional judgment
