Information Technology (IT)/Video Editor Short-Term Consultant at Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE)

About the Role

Widows and Orphans Empowerment Organization (WEWE) is seeking a dynamic IT/Video Editor to join our expanding team. This short-term consulting position offers the opportunity to create impactful visual content while supporting organizational training and media production initiatives.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Film/Media Studies, Fine Arts, or related field
• Diploma or certificate course in videography, cinematography, or digital media
• Own camera equipment required for role execution
• Two professional samples of previous video editing work
• At least two professional references

Required Experience

• Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in videography, video editing, or media production
• Proficiency in video editing software including Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects
• Demonstrated expertise in camera operation, lighting, and sound recording
• Strong storytelling ability and creativity in visual presentation
• Solid understanding of YouTube algorithms, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and digital content optimization
• Experience with live streaming video and audio in real-time
• Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PDF tools, and design software such as CorelDraw and Canva
• Experience in media production and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram)
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools including Mailchimp and Google Forms
• Excellent written and oral English language skills with research writing capabilities
• Superior communication skills with emphasis on creative approaches, attention to detail, and efficient delivery
