About the Role
Tilden Development Limited seeks a dedicated and experienced Head of Construction to lead our construction operations in Lagos, Nigeria. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with proven expertise in managing large-scale construction projects and high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement construction strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with organizational vision
- Monitor and direct multiple construction projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
- Lead and manage construction teams, including project managers, engineers, and superintendents
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction projects
- Oversee and manage construction budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all projects
- Encourage innovation and implement process improvements, including adoption of new technologies
- Contribute to business growth through identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry
- At least 5 years in a senior management role
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale commercial and residential projects
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
- Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Strategic thinking with financial acumen and risk management expertise
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, or CIOB
