## Title: Head of Construction

About the Role

Tilden Development Limited seeks a dedicated and experienced Head of Construction to lead our construction operations in Lagos, Nigeria. This senior leadership position requires a strategic thinker with proven expertise in managing large-scale construction projects and high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement construction strategies, goals, and objectives aligned with organizational vision
  • Monitor and direct multiple construction projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
  • Lead and manage construction teams, including project managers, engineers, and superintendents
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction projects
  • Oversee and manage construction budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement across all projects
  • Encourage innovation and implement process improvements, including adoption of new technologies
  • Contribute to business growth through identifying new opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry
  • At least 5 years in a senior management role
  • Proven track record in delivering large-scale commercial and residential projects

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
  • Strategic thinking with financial acumen and risk management expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, RICS, or CIOB
