## Title: Gym Manager

Position Overview

The Gym Manager oversees the daily operations of the fitness facility, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and motivating environment for all members and staff. This role involves managing staff performance, driving membership sales, maintaining facility standards, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily gym operations, including opening/closing, scheduling, and maintenance
  • Ensure all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards in compliance with regulations
  • Manage vendor relationships and inventory for supplies and equipment
  • Recruit, train, and supervise gym staff, including trainers, receptionists, and maintenance personnel
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback
  • Foster a positive, high-energy team culture aligned with the gym's mission and values
  • Drive membership growth through marketing campaigns, referrals, and community outreach
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service and handle member inquiries or complaints professionally
  • Track and report on membership metrics, retention rates, and revenue performance
  • Develop and execute programs and events to increase member engagement and satisfaction
  • Manage budgets, control expenses, and monitor financial performance
  • Prepare regular operational and financial reports for senior management
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve profitability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Sports Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in fitness center management or a related leadership role
  • Proven experience in staff management, customer service, and sales
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
