A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role. Job Purpose The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment that supports the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of children in the early years (typically ages 2–5). The role focuses on laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning through play-based and developmentally appropriate practices. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.
  • Use play-based and inquiry-based learning strategies.
  • Support early literacy, numeracy, and social skills development.
  • Observe and assess children’s progress and maintain accurate records.
Child Development & Welfare
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor children’s emotional and social development.
  • Identify developmental delays or concerns and escalate appropriately.
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding and child protection policies.
Classroom Management
  • Maintain an organised, stimulating, and child-friendly classroom.
  • Prepare learning materials and resources.
  • Promote positive behaviour through guidance and reinforcement.
Parent Engagement
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding children’s progress.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and school events.
  • Provide guidance to parents on supporting learning at home.
Compliance & Professional Standards
  • Adhere to school policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of child and family information.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Required Qualifications: & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or NCE in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Relevant teaching certification
  • 2–4 years’ experience in early years education (preferred)
  • Knowledge of EYFS or relevant early childhood curriculum framework
