The Distribution Network Technician is responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of the electrical distribution infrastructure that delivers power from substations to end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, including power lines, transformers, switchgear, and protective devices

Respond rapidly to system outages and faults, utilizing specialized equipment to locate and correct electrical problems safely and efficiently

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new network assets, including connecting renewable generation sources to the grid

Strictly follow all company safety protocols and high-voltage work procedures, ensuring the safety of the public and co-workers

Required Qualifications:

Technical qualification or certification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Technology

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of practical experience working on energized or de-energized electrical distribution networks (up to 33kV)
