Distribution Network Technician

Position Overview: - The Distribution Network Technician is responsible for the construction, maintenance, repair, and reliable operation of the electrical distribution infrastructure that delivers power from substations to end-users. Key Responsibilities: - Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical distribution systems, including power lines, transformers, switchgear, and protective devices - Respond rapidly to system outages and faults, utilizing specialized equipment to locate and correct electrical problems safely and efficiently - Assist in the installation and commissioning of new network assets, including connecting renewable generation sources to the grid - Strictly follow all company safety protocols and high-voltage work procedures, ensuring the safety of the public and co-workers Required Qualifications: - Technical qualification or certification in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Technology Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of practical experience working on energized or de-energized electrical distribution networks (up to 33kV)
